The North City Centre (Dublin 1) encompasses neighbourhoods such as O'Connell Street, Henry Street, Jervis Street, Parnell Street, the Customs House and the quays. All areas within north Dublin city have good bus links serviced by the Luas Red Line, Dublin Bus and the DART. Connelly station, Busáras (Ireland’s main Bus station) is also located in north Dublin city centre. Dublin city centre has several shopping districts, including Henry Street, Jervis Shopping Centre and the newly refurbished Ilac Shopping Centre. There are 2 main hospitals that serve the north of the city namely Beaumount and The Matter. There is also a selection of educational institutions that are part of DIT and NCI.
