A well tasty meal on the way home from the train station. Stays open late and the staff are welcoming.

I just got the seafood chowder here and it was delicious. At a glance many of the prices seemed better than supermarkets and the the fish was probably fresher.

I had a good experience with these guys. On ringing up I was given a full quote and a breakdown for the work. They arrived on time and got the job done (fitting a new circuit board in the boiler).

A straight forward chinese take away but the food seems much better quality than usual.

The atmosphere of the bookstore makes this a very pleasant cafe away from the hustle and bustle. I haven't tried the food but the coffee was good. Eircom wifi is available apparently.
read moreEven though getting a seat here can be a pain in the neck when it's busy, I say 5 stars anyway for the quality of the food. It's a self service set up so you get to eye up all the dishes before ordering. It always looks and tastes great, and is filling without being stodgy. This must be one of th...

Great spot to get a seat with a view over the Green, and the coffee was excellent. I haven't tried the food yet.
read moreA group of us were here for dinner recently and everyone was impressed with the food, service and the modern interior. They must have ironed out any teething problems with waiting times since they opened. The food is very good quality. My only gripe was the lack of vegetables in the main course b...

If weather dictates that there's "no boat to the island today", the Centre will still give a good feel for life on the Blasket Islands. "For the likes of them will never be again", and such. read moreThe park makes a great route for a run at lunch time, if you're so inclined. It's nice and flat and within range of a lot of offices. I left one star off due to the odd pothole in the paths, but hey this is a park and not a shopping mall!
read moreI thought the cut here was better than both the Grafton Barber and the Merchant Barber in my experience. €16 for a dry cut was very good value compared to paying the same for shoddy work elsewhere.

Great value lunch menu. Starter, main course, ice-cream and tea/coffee for €12.50. Nice place.

I love this place, it's excellent value and consistently decent. The Veggie Tempura starter is great. I've always got the Chicken or Beef stir frys but apparently the Massaman curry is one to go for.

A good honest bar this with a no frills atmosphere. The mosaic floor and old panelling give it a good character but I thought they could have more seating. It seems to attract a mix of regulars and medical students. Grand place for chat - just off the main Camden Street strip. Decent pint of Guin...

Nice old world bar with good service and possibly the best pint of Guinness anywhere
read moreThis is a nice bar - it's clean, well trimmed out and had good Cuban-style music. I'm only giving it 2 stars because we went in mainly for a bite to eat and the food wasn't that great. Also I asked for a glass of red and it was on the small side and cost nearly 7 euro (I hadn't asked for a specif...

When queried about his choice of music, the DJ's defence was "I've been the DJ here for eighteen years right".
Enough said. It's dire. Only for the brave or foolhardy.

read moreAlthough a member, I never see as many films here as I mean to. So many quality films are shown here it's hard to keep track. read more5 stars for their lunch. The floor staff are great, the food arrives very quickly and it's tasty stuff: lasagna, bangers and mash etc. It's a pleasant change from the stodgy potatoes and limp vegetables used as padding in many places. Generous portions of straight up hearty mexican grub are to be found in this colourful restaurant. Burritos, nachos, fajitas, you name it. Go with an empty belly. I hear their lunch is quite resonable too.
read moreI really like how they've done this place up, opening up the space between the bar and stage areas. A cushy carpet, quite a bit of seating (which makes a change for the city centre) and a good sized dance floor. The bar staff were on the ball and the pints of Carlsberg were crisp. The acoustics s...

An increasingly rare specimen this - a traditional timeless Dublin pub. If you pine for lost pubs in Dublin, you'll be reassured by a snug pint in here. It's the real deal.

Good quality Thai takeaway. For the few euro extra, the food here is much better quality than similar options in the area. You don't have to worry about getting a greasy-spoon Thai dish if you order from Saba.

Has the potential to be a great local but lacks energy and personality. Lounge decor is very attractive but the place needs a good spring clean. Great mountain setting, tasty grub and sing along hand clapping live music (that might be an invitation or a warning, depending on your taste). Maybe not the best Guinness in Dublin, but the cosy interior makes up for it. When you need to keep a tourist busy for a couple of hours, this place is a...
