This is high end food. Service is always great too. You definitely need to book though cause ive gone in a few times on a fri/sat night on the off chance but it was full. Pricey, so its a special occassions place for me rather than a weekly type place.

This is my favourite Indian place in Dublin! It's certainly more expensive than your average take away, but worth it. The service is great, the food even better, and the atmosphere perfect for date night! I always opt for the early bird special but will likely give something from the full menu a try at some point. My first time there I ordered the vegetarian dumplings, which were so much more delicious than they sounded on the menu! I also recommend splurging and giving the kulfi a go for dessert.
I must admit that I find it odd that this place is in Dundrum Town Centre; it feels like it should be among those swanky restaurants in the city centre, not next to a KFC in a mall! But it is.
I had early bird here recently which I enjoyed immensely. €20 per head. I had a chicken starter and a lamb main course. My partner had lamb starter and fish curry main course. Everything was really tasty but the service was almost too speedy considering it was a Sunday and there weren't customers waiting to take the table. The menus were disgustingly dirty which really annoyed me. There's nothing wrong with using wipe clean menus or freshly printed pages.
I will return to try the proper menu and make my (considered) judgement then.
An excellent restaurant. One of the best Indian restaurants in Dublin, the flawless and exotic food is complemented well by swift and attentive staff.
Ananda is not cheap but the whole dinning experience fully justifies the price.
Outstanding Indian restaurant. Far from typical menu, will allow you to sample dishes not readily on offer anywhere else in Dublin.
Located in Dundrum Town Centre but you soon forget the outside world when you step into the eye-catching, stylish, and polished dining area.
The staff are elegant and very attentive without making their presence too pronounced, they float between tables without making a sound.
Ananda is not cheap but I didn't leave feeling that I was over-charged either. They do offer an attractive, 3 course, early bird menu for less than 25 euro.
Ananda is an admirable choice for a special occasion.
I was really disappointed with the food. Second time eating indian food and dont enjoy it at all. The presentation of the food and the style of the restaurant was excellent. However, i dont think ill be going there again
Ananda's menu provides a more interesting selection than most Indian restaurants to be found in Dublin. The food itself is reasonably impressive and the service is excellent. However the atmosphere is a little flat, and it is hard not feel that the prices are excessive for an ethnic restaurant in suburban Dublin (although to be fair the same comment could be made about the majority of the restaurants in Dundrum Town Centre).

We were there the week before Christmas, place was packed. Had to ask for a standard menu three times before getting it. They were pushing their set Christmas menu down our throats. Food appears to be fairly standard Indian fare, but the menu looks too complicated for what it is.
Service wasn't great, staff were a bit pushy. We found them to be intrusive (moving bowls that we were serving ourselves from before being finished) and unprofessional.
Then, we were asked to leave as we were having coffee. They wanted the table. But it still took them 20 minutes to bring the bill.
To conclude, this is an over priced Indian restaurant. You can get better food in other cheaper restaurants with better service. We shall not be going back. You have been warned!
Lots of variety on the menu and as a first timer to Indian food I was impressed. It was a very enjoyable dining experience though a bit overpriced.
I was slightly disappointed by the quality of the food here. It is more expensive than the Jaipur restaurants (Eur 100 for two), but I actually prefer the food in Jaipur. I had scallops to start with - which were slightly overdone, and braised lamb shank for main - which probably wasn't cooked quite long enough. That said the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
