the service is ok - i often see ppl sitting with empty plates for a good 20 mins before anyone notices (and the place is empty) but aside from that and the fact that seem to be over staffed (ie 4 waiters standing around chatting with 4 customers in the whole place at 3pm) it's better than lots of other places i ve been too
Poor service, waiting 45 minutes for food, when it arrived the portions were tiny, the food was nice but very small portions.
When paying we were left waiting again, now it was not busy at all either.
I was with a group of 6 and I had only drank here before so I recommended the place as I had heard the food was good.
Very disappointed by the slow service, and very small portions.
Expensive food for the portion size, but it was nice.
Great bar/restaurant for matches! Especially the food served in great quantity and quality. Friendly bar staff. Location: 20 mins walk from luas milltown stop.
I like this place - it's a good spot for watching matches. Never too packed but always enough to get a good atmosphere going. Pints are good, service is good and the food is top notch for a pub.
The food seems a bit on the pricey side for pub-grub, but it's as good as many a restaurant so it's hard to complain about it really. The brie starter, chicken goujons, beef burger and steak are all worth a try.

Nice pub for a quiet pint and some good food which is reasonably priced. The lamb stew is particularly good as is the duck wrap. They have a huge projector screen that they put up on match days so good spot if you get there in time to get a good seat.

Ashtons - great, comfortable bar - ideal for a watching a match and getting some good grub in inclement conditions!

This section of the Clonskeagh Road is home to two very different pubs. So depending on my mood I visit the appropriate one - O'Sheas if I've already had my dinner and I'm in the mood for a quiet pint and Ashtons if I haven't eaten and I'm feeling that little bit more sophisticated! Just the other night, I got that sophisticated feeling so off I went to Ashtons for dinner and as per usual I wasn't disappointed - the food is good, the décor is swanky and the bar is bright and airy. Being the health freak that I am, I supplemented my dinner with two pints of (some very good) Vitamin G so all in all a very enjoyable evening was had - four stars from me!
