Backstage @ Bel's opened its doors in April 2007 under the new ownership of chef Jeff Norman & his wife Tara Norman and Tara's mother Theresa. As the name suggests the restaurant aims to create a theatre themed dining experience. The menu is European, with classic dishes such as dover sole, wild seabass, & wild Wicklow game in the winter. During the summer months, the restaurant offers a "front stage" terrace-like seating area.

I would recommend this place to anyone eating out in Greystones, this place gives real competition to the Hungry Monk just up the road. I have been there for lunch and dinner and on both occasions was very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. I like to take my time over dinner, and not feel rushed out of the place, and this is exactly what I found here. The theatrical conceit didn't make any impression on me, but I was too busy enjoying myself to care. Excellent.
