I don't normally complain but I was just so annoyed after visiting this salon. Here is my experience:
I went for my first spray tan for a wedding I was going to. Visiting the salon the week before, I was told that there was no prior patch test required and assured that I could have a light spray.
On arrival, i was told to go straight into the room. Never having had a tan done before, i presumed she was coming back to run through everything. She came back with the tan gun ready to see me still dressed. I asked did she not provide paper pants to which she replied no, strip off and hurried back out. I stepped into the booth to find two tan-soaked towels on the floor. The woman came in and as she sprayed expected me to know when to turn or move legs a certain way. As I tried to explain I had never had one done, she was rude and unhelpful and continued to spray it in my face.
About 20 mins after the tan, my chest felt heavy. I can only presume because I had inhaled it as she asked me mid-spray "Have you never had a tan done before?".
I was sick as a dog for 2 hours with headaches and nausea from the fumes of whatever she was using. My chest broke out in a red rash. The tan-soaked towels destroyed my feet - looked really terrible. The tan got darker and darker and was not near the light tint I requested.
I was going to a wedding the followiing day and it was just a nightmare. Never ever again! Speaking to other people who got tans in other salons, this was definitely not the norm.
