A truly awful experience, between the food, atmosphere and staff there is nothing I would recommend. The restaurant was very quiet and lacked atmosphere. The service was extremely slow and food could only be described as ok. The prices far exceeded the quality of the food we were served. The location of this restaurant with the added bonus of outside space should make it an easy sell but with below par food and a pushy manageress lurking around while you try to have a private conversation it is definitely not....

A beautiful sunny evening in Dublin, a lovely lively location for a pre-theatre meal.
We picked a table outside and selected from the 2-course early bird menu, ordered a bottle of wine and sat back with the tipple and waited for the meal, and waited, and waited......
It was 40 minutes before the starters came despite there being only 4 other diners at the restaurant. We suspected a ploy to get us to buy another bottle of wine on the balmy night., but maybe they were waiting for the starters to come from the local supermarket. The two slices of black pudding were certainly not restaurant standard and were so thin you could almost see through them- served with a dollop of apple salsa that clearly came from a jar. The other starter of terrine was bland and unappetisingly rubber in texture. Ah well, can only get better? No.
My main of mussels frittata was the smallest and dryest omelete I have ever tasted, with the hearty total of of 4 mussels aboard. The salmon risotto was a blob of stodgy taste-free rice into which the kitchen had dropped 4 slivers of salmon each the size of a cocktail sausage.
If this is a bright addition to the Dublin scene, it is a bad bad scene.

Keywords: slow service, poor food
