I played this golf course last month after my fiance bought the ratemyarea deal (round of golf and buggy for 12euro). I'm not the most experienced golfer but I really enjoyed playing this course. The holes are quite long with a number of par 5's, so the buggy came in very useful. The course is quite hilly with a few tricky water spots but it was still manageable for an unexperienced golfer. There are great views from the course and a nice clubhouse with friendly management, I would definitely play this course again.

Played here yesterday with a friend after availing of a fantastic offer from ratemyarea - 12 euro each for a round with buggy hire - which we were glad of because this is a hilly course - right from the off that has beautiful views throughout. Once you get here (there are good directions on their site the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The 1st (which seems to be the 10th on the website course guide) is an interesting climb with a sneaky water hazard on the right that you don't see on the course map on the internet. The next five holes are what you might call "open plan" in that they are straight up and down with plenty of room for errand drives that don't usually get punished. Things start to get more interesting on the dogleg 7th, and become even more so on the demanding 8th - a long par 3 with a beautiful view from an elevated tee that distracts you from the green that's protected on the left by a lake. The 9th is a pretty hole that you might not realise has an out of bounds area all along the right side.
The back nine starts off with a pretty par 5 from an elevated tee. There are one or two holes that are straight up and down, but I felt that the back nine was more interesting than the front 9.
In general wayward shots aren't punished on this course which can be quite open, however, it is a new course and hopefully, that will change as it matures. The greens are a very good standard and are consistent from start to finish. I felt throughout that the distance on the cards didn't seem to correlate with the distances on the course where it seemed consistently much, much longer than I had been led to believe. It says it's 6700 yards, but it felt more like metres!

In summary - this is a course with beautiful views that is still a bit young and rough and maybe a little to straight up and down in areas but it's a good test of strength, the greens are good and there are some very good holes. Very reasonable green fees-particularly the ratemyarea offer! Feel bad giving this a 2 out of 5 rating but I'm sure this will go up as the course gets older.
