Reviews for Bijou Bistro & Restaurant
Write a Review Bijou Bistro & Restaurant reviews feedWe are so lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep. Casual ambiance downstairs with more formal restaurant upstairs. I choose downstairs for lunch and upstairs for Dinner. Just back from a lovely 3 hour saturday lunch there with my friends. Gave the waiter 50 euro by mistake as a tip (I thought it was a tenner) and he gave it back to me - that was nice! Food gorgeous and really nice ambiance and service - well worth making the trip to Rathgar to eat in - and if you are there for dinner - you can pop over to Comans afterwards for a nightcap
Had a really nice lunch here this weekend with friendly staff, a great Christmas atmospere and good food. Will be back, Good value as well.
Always a pleasant experience. Good food and staff anxious to please.
Haven't been here in a long time and brought some clients for a casual dinner down stairs in the cafe bar just in the new year.Good atmosphere, relaxed but very busy, refreshing in January whilst we all talk doom and gloom.Good meal.Charming staff.Reasonable prices.
I had dinner in the bistro. A short wait, but welcomed us at the bar for a glass of wine.
The dinner was OK, but the menu was not particularly "exciting" and we would have expected more choice for a French bistro.
The price was a bit high for the food we had or at least the expectation we had.
Service was good.
The place is often full, booking is probably recommended.
I like this place a lot. Bijou is divided into two parts more casual bistro dinning downstairs and an actual restaurant upstairs. The bistro menu downstairs offers simple meals such as Jumbo sausages and chips, Steak and a selection of seafood. The bistro menu is easy on the pocket and is in a very chilled out atmosphere. Great for Sunday brunch…..
I recently had a big family occasion in the restaurant upstairs. We had great cocktails upstairs while waiting for our table. There was a great selection of dishes here with all the usuals including fish, chicken, steak etc. I had the soup to start which came with the most amazing home made brown bread. Food is really good here and there is a great patio outside that has a built in fire place for all the smokers out there.
Also there is a great early bird with two courses from €15.95. Will definitely be back here….
