Lobster roll with soup, and they were both delicious (even if the roll was a little on the small side). Mind you, the regular price for it was pretty expensive, so if it hadn't been on offer at the time I wouldn't recommend it. If you're going purely on taste though, I can't fault them!
Let me start by saying the food was ok. Well, the starter and main course. Can't comment on deserts as we were asked to vacate our table. For the next party?!?!?
Our table was booked from 6-9. We arrived shortly after six.. However, we weren't seated til 7.45. when manager was asked why we can't have our desert and coffee? His reply was.."this is Dublin , there are plenty of places for desert and coffee"
I suspect he thought that we were not living in Dublin due to our cork accents and probably felt he was not in danger of losing repeat business??? But all 9 of us live and work in Dublin. And so do our hubbies , friends and families. And we we telling ALL.... Do not darken Bites doorstep.
Not even in the Celtic tiger days would I expect to be treated thus.
In the words of my theatrical friend... BITE.... CAN BITE MY ASS

Came here for lunch today - sat out in the terrace which was nice and relaxing. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Would have enjoyed a cocktail from the drinks menu but, as the office awaited, i'll have to return again to sample that aspect of their services!
Only a 3 in my opinion. The food was perfectly fine, but it came in small portions which is obviously the trade-off that they have made to reduce the prices (as the prices are not bad). Not the right decision in my opinion. Our waitress was a bit strange too - she was trying to be friendly and casual but ended up seeming slightly distracted and not interested. Improvement on the previous restaurant here, but needs some smoothing off before its 'there'. I'd try it again in a while...
