Cafe Novo is a little bit of an undiscovered gem just off Grafton Street. It's part of the Westbury Hotel but don't be put off by this as it doesn't have the hotel bar or lobby feel you usually get from these type of efforts. It's funky, cosy and in my opinion a good place to stop off for a drink or a bite to eat after a long day shopping. You can have a proper meal here in casual surroundings or if you're not too hungry you can do what we did and order the grazing platters. The tapas-like grazing platters come in three different flavours: Meat, Asian and Fish... it says on the menu there is enough to share between two but all I will say is that one should choose their sharing partner carefully (prior dining knowledge would be helpful when doing so). We ordered a side of fries too which satisfied any remaining aprés platter hunger. I wasn't drinking but the bar and winelist looked tempting and a return visit is probably in order on that basis alone. All in all a decent spot and definitely worth a gander - four stars from me!
