Excellent creche/montessori. Not sure exactly how much "montessori" teaching goes on, but my kids are extremely happy there - run in every morning. All very open and friendly - parents can wander around all they want. This is in marked contrast to Simbas in Blackrock village where my children went before, and parents are asked to remain downstairs while their children are brought to them when being collected. My children were very unhappy there.
Carbury also seems to have no problem hanging on to its staff which is a good sign. Consistency is important for the children. In Simbas, staff seemed unhappy and were leaving all the time and then the children would be unhappy and not sleeping at night.
Hot lunch in Carbury is a big advantage too - served at around 12 so if your kids are in for mornings only you can collect them at 1 and they have been fed and the you are free to take them off to the park or whatever. They love the food too.
They are also very flexible if you need to change hours or days or leave kids longer because you are stuck somewhere.
Only slight issue might be the amount of treats they get - there seem to be a lot of rice crispy cake eating going on - but it won't kill them and in general a small complaint when the children are all so happy there.
No hesitation in recommending it.

My son went to Carbury from the age of 9 months, right up to when he started junior infants. He absolutely loved the place, and the staff. They are all really friendly, very skilled and very capable. I did have one or two issues over his 4 years there, but they were all minor, and the Manager dealt with them very promptly and efficently. I would have no problem in recommending Carbury place to anyone out there looking for a friendly home from home for their children.
I worked in Carbury Place for 2 - 3 yrs,I can say it is a very well established montessori school and creche,.the children are so well cared 4.I learned most of my pre-school skills in this school,and I owe them alot.The staff while I was there made the children feel comfortable and happy.
