Castletown is Ireland's largest and earliest Palladian style house. Built between 1722 and 1729 for William Conolly, Speaker of the Irish House of Commons and the wealthiest commoner in Ireland. After extensive restoration, Castletown House and restaurant is now open to the public during the summer season and tours of the house are available Tuesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.

This place is a great find, the cafe serves delicious food in the lovely surroundings of the old house, there is also seating outside if the sun happens to be shining. You can also do a tour of the house or just take a stroll around the grounds.

Keywords: cafe, tour, gardens
