I'd probably give them 3.5 stars if that was an option, but it's a decent cinema. The seats are comfy, it's pretty clean and the selection of films is always good, but it doesn't have the same kind of heart that some of the smaller cinemas do (I'm looking at you, Lighthouse and IFI).

The food's always mediocre, the popcorn's generally been sitting there under a heating lamp for far too long and everything's a couple of euros more expensive than it needs to be, but it's good if you just want a handy, central location to see the latest blockbusters (and if you live nearby the €19.99 a month deal can actually be great value!)

Also, if you take your cinema tickets around the corner to the Black Sheep pub they'll give you some free beer, so that's a nice little bonus!

Agree with Andrés M: the Unlimited Card is the best thing ever as you only pay 19.99 a month and can go anytime you'd like.
The downsides are that the late afternoon shows are very busy and the limited release of indo films.

I have a Cineworld Unlimited Card and it's the best thing you can do if you love cinema. I go every week and only pay 19,99 a month. The cinema is quite good. The staff can be a little bit rude sometimes, but I understand that they are working under pressure. The downside of Cineworld is that few independent films make it to their screens.

One of my favourite cinemas.

Car parking is very handy.

This is the only theatre I go to in dublin - has many screening rooms, popcorn (of course) plus bar/coffee lounge area.. The student discount is always a plus =)

Cineworld is one of the largest cinemas in Ireland and has plenty of screens for all tastes. It also has a bar and a decent selection of food for cinema. Booking is recommended for new releases and weekends.
