Haven't been to Cinnamon for a while so dropped in for lunch to. Busy as ever, great food and atmosphere. The one thing I noticed was the improvement in the quality of service. Little waiting time between giving my order and receiving my delicious food. I will be back - soon. God luck guys

This is my first review - in fact I joind this site to post this review.

There is one word for Cinnamon - Bad. I've passed this place a number of time and have never had the opportunity to visit till today and I wish I hadn't bothered.

The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful.
The coffee was cold and devoid of taste.
The food was slow in coming and then arrived both burned and cold!

We were charged €22.50 for 2 coffees, pancakes, poached eggs (overcooked), pudding, bacon and toast.

There are many other 'brunch options' in Ranelagh, take my advice and visit one of them instead - I wish I had!

i really like the decor of the place and it has a very cozy feel but my sandwich was a bit un-delicious. it was to have hummus, roastedpepper and artichoke in it. it came with all that PLUS raw red onion and was covered in oil. they obviously use jarred roasted pepper, marinated in oil which is fine but.... dab the peppers. they made the sandwich so oily that i nearly had to eat it wth a knife & fork of have my hands be covered in the stuff.

the service was just ok. the waitress brought me a jug of water (do people not need ice anymore) since i was going to have a coffee later but didnt want to stay. they said they have wifi and it wasnt working. rather than trying to unplug & replug, she told me " if the connection isnt there it isnt there."

i went down the street to coffee society for my coffee

I fell victim to the previously reported 'dire service' here today, we were waiting over 50 minutes for our food which we finally cancelled - kudos to the manager who came over and apologised and gave us our coffees on the house but it still didn't make up for the fact that we had actually gone there to eat!

In summary, really nice place with lots of potential but they really need to get their act together service-wise or people will just stop going.

I have frequented Cinnamon twice now, once when it first opened and again in the last week. Upon my first visit I found the food superb and reasonably priced, the service was so-so. On my second occasion a few things had changed - Instead of being seated customers were obliged to now seat themselves, which my friend and I duly did right in the fire-line of the restaurant. What happened next perplexed me, not one of the several waitresses acknowledged us in the following 6 minutes. It wasn't particularly busy (12pm on a tuesday afternoon) and not one waitress approached us with waters/menus. Moreover I saw in plain view the stock of menus , and the waitresses walking back and forth between us and the menus. It was, if anything, insulting. After 5 minutes I told my friend we would leave if they didn't Menu us in 1 minute, I have worked for many years as a waitress myself and this is an unacceptable amount of time. 60 seconds later we were out of there, Food maybe great but totally impinged by the front of house incompetence.

I always get excited about a new cafe. I have been to cinemon 4 times, the service is extremely slow and disorganised (food arrived 5 mins apart and the wrong orders). I have learned to excuse these deficiencies because it was a new business with teething problems. However there is no excuse for over charging customers. I or my friends have been over charged on at least 6 different occasions. I have pointed these problems out to the managers and they promised to correct the till system immediately, but the same over charging happens every time I visited in the last 5 weeks.
I like the cafe, the coffee is very good and the food is adequate but I will never return because of the very poor severice and particuly the blatant disregard for the customers by not adequately addressing their systematic over charging despite having their attention drawn to it on many occasions.

Good soup in nice surroundings, looking forward to trying their coffee and some of their other eats.

My friend reccomended this place to me, she said the food was lovely but the service was a bit poor. I decided to see for myself and went here for brunch this Sunday. It was packed but we were lucky to get a table. We were waiting about 10minutes to place are order, however we were forgiving because it was so busy. Once our order was placed we were waiting a further 10minutes for our coffees to arrive... After half an hour of ordering I asked the manager if our food was nearly ready, she told us there were delays and it would be a further 10minutes (she wasn't that apologetic either and just asked if we wanted to cancel our order). We got our food after 45minutes from ordering. I couldn't fault the food it was really delicious.. However the length of time we were waiting was unjustifiable..I would never go back on a Sunday. Although the waitress were lovely they all seemed quite flustered. They need to develop some form of system for the tables. To wait 45minutes for food anywhere is a bit ridiculous never mind for two small breakfasts.

Just when it seems there couldn't be anymore room for a new restaurant in Ranelagh up pops Cinnamon and it seems it's already a favourite with queues out the door on a Sunday afternoon! If you don't like having to share your table then this isn't the place for you as there are a lot of large tables with people being assigned whatever comes up first. I had an egg white omelette which you don't often see on brunch menus and it was delicious. There's also fresh bread and other bits and pieces to take-out.

Had a lovely Sunday brunch here today in a bustling environment with great food and service. The place has a nice feel and I can see how it would be easy to spend the day here over a few coffees. I would highly recommend brunch with all the usual items on the menu and a few additional extras. I am already looking forward to trying lunch and an evening outing.

Went here for lunch with a friend mid week just after it had opened. Certainly was humming - with a real trendy crowd of mixed ages - 3 of the Irish Rugby team players right at the next table! Big communal wooden bench tables, with some smaller tables and a big sitting area with couches at the back. Really struck me as different - and I hope they do well - first signs really good. Can't over comment on the food at this stage as we only had two bowls of soup for 2.50 each served with a lovely slice of Ciabatta bread. Last of the big spenders I don't think - but we were served with a smile.
