Although Coffee Society has a large chain feel to it, it seems to be the place where Ranelagh locals meet for a coffee and a chat. The coffee is good, the staff are friendly and their toasted poppy seed bagel with cream cheese is finger lickin' good. Coffee Society stays open quite late and is smoker friendly with seats out front and back. All in all, a decent little coffee shop.

I used to go to Coffee Society everyday some 7 years ago or so and I must say that it is one of the best things I will always remember Dublin for. The coffee's good and the cakes were delicious ( chocolate delice and banoffee). The baristas and managers were friendly and nice. I would hang out there mostly with some friends but it is also a good place to be alone sometimes. The ambiance back then was cozy and casual even if it's packed most of the time. I hope they have maintained their good coffee, service and atmosphere. I miss this place!!
