Bruno & Sergio Costa set up their famous coffee roastery in Lambeth, London in 1971, supplying local caterers and Italian coffee shops with an exciting coffee, slow-roasted the Italian way. People couldn’t get enough of it and by 1978 the first Costa espresso bar opened in London. To this day Costa still use the same method of slow-roasting their coffee beans to serve-up their distinctive blend.

Reviews for Costa Coffee
Write a Review Costa Coffee reviews feedA rather pleasant Costa located upstairs in an Easons. It's a nice place to sit and read, but a bit "open" for my liking... not ideal for coffee shop chats. The drinks are decent, though!
Although the coffee shop and coffee were nice the toilets were the worst toilets I have ever come across. After raising the issue with Costa staff and Eason bookshop staff neither would accept they were responsible for upkeep of the toilets. As such the poo remains on the walls, floor and toilet seat.
Won't be returning and would put me off Costa coffee shops in general.
I like cafés in bookshops - coffee and books seem to go well together. Popped in here for lunch on Sunday, grabbed a paper off the stand, a toasted sandwich and an espresso - a little on the pricey side but exactly what I wanted. The coffee was also surprisingly good. Great spot to go if you're on your own (plenty of stuff hanging around to read) - three stars from me!
