Diwali means festival of lights and this Indian eaterie returns once again to South Great Georges Street. This is a very simple no-frills Indian & Nepalese restaurant that serves both lunch and dinner. Diwali gives diners a choice of three menus including an Early Bird menu. The restaurant is owned and managed by Mr. Ganesh Prasai, a permanent resident of Jhapa,Nepal.

My most pleasant surprise of 2010 to date! I was curious about this restaurant since visiting India during the Diwali holiday, but didn't have high hopes. I judged the book by its cover. Inside it's cosy, staff are friendly, toilets are clean, food is fresh, tasty and cheap and best of all it has a guest book for all your effusive comments on a table as you leave! I can't wait to return. Quirky Indian charm is irresistable.

1 High Fived!
