“Dobbins” has been going for over 25 years now but alas gone with the old and in with the “New Dobbins”. The interior has changed but the ambiance and character still remains - food, service and wine list are still an integral part of the restaurant with a new series of exciting menus.

Great Meal with fixed price. My first visit was 20 years ago and only returned after 8 years in March 2010 .Have been there 3 times since then.
First time was in main section of the restaurant .Large groups made it impossible to talk . Next times I asked for seats in corridor section -there you can have normal conversation . .

On a first visit this restaurant, functioning since the 1970s, takes a bit of finding. Metered parking on either Stephen's Place or Lower Mount Street or even in nearby Merrion Square is plentiful. I attended a lunch meeting with a group in a private room above the main restaurant - we found the staff friendly & helpful (when they had to juggle some tables for us) and by common consent the food was good. As Dublin prices go, it wasn't excessively dear either.
