My favourite spot in Ranelagh. The staff is really friendly and polite, the food is gorgeous and coffee impeccable. Surely the only annoying thing is that other people have already noticed how good it is and it tend to be packed in times when you really want to eat.

I went here for lunch this Sunday. It's nice to have another lunch option in Ranelagh - not that the old reliables ever disappoint! The cafe is small and was packed when we walked in, so we were lucky to get a table.

The lunch menu has a lot of options with different sandwiches, wraps and paninis as well as hamburgers and steak sandwiches and a breakfast menu. I went for the New York bagel from the breakfast menu with cream cheese and bacon and my boyfriend went with the steak sandwich with chips. I also got a tea and the bill came to around 18 quid which seemed like good value.

The food was good and I would have given another star if it wasn't for the delay with the food. It took a half an hour before my boyfriend's steak sandwich was served (I didn't really mind this as we weren't too hungry or in a rush) but I had to wait another 10 minutes before my bagel was served. The staff were apologetic about the delay and were friendly in general, so it wouldn't stop me going back another time for lunch.

Keywords: good food, lunch, brunch
