I went to see Dr. O'Leary in late 1993 or early 1994.I hope its the same doctor as then.He must of been about fifty at the time I could be wrong.
I thought he would of retired by now but maybe not.
I remember going into the waiting room were he had a lot of patients.
I must of waited between one and two hours to see him.
When I eventually saw him.
He seemed more intereseted in were I lived rather than my medical complaint.
He kept saying what Hostel are you in?How long are you there?
How long will you be staying after several minutes of these questions.
I was in The Iveagh Hostel Bride street Dublin 2 I think.
He eventually gave me a perscription.
He said?If they don't work?Your on your own.
He did not think much of me because of my background and that I had not a permanent address.
But I was use this sort of bigotry or descrinination by now.
When I got back to the hostel.
I ripped up my medical card and threw it in the bin.
I was upset and crying.
It was not the first I was treated bad by doctors or nursing staff.
As I've been treated a hell of lot worse than this.
I'm extremely ill at the moment and I have no hope of getting better.I was 19 or just 20 years of age then and now I've 41.
Death will come as reliease for me.
Many thanks.
