A good spot to have a quick dinner. Food is good quality although the menu for people eating downstairs is relatively limited and does not change. Not a problem if you are poping in now and then but it would be nice to have more variety for the likes of myself who would eat there at least once a month.

Although its called The Pub I would say the focus is very much on the food which is fair enough. Its not somewhere I would go if all I wanted was a few pints (better to try Goggins across the road). The service at the bar is very slow as they give priority to getting drinks for the waiting staff to bring to the diners.

Well impressed with the PUB - never realised it was PUB.

Very nice spot and had a good crowd in for the game France v Wales 09 (good result). Food wasn't bad chased down with a bottle of rouge and pints a black.

Defo will pop back and a nice alternative to Goggins with some good ol fashion FxB steaks.

Well, I've been back and it was good this time too. Was here on Friday night with a group for a birthday celebration and to watch the 6-nations match. We stayed downstairs to watch the match and have a few pints with our dinners in 'the pub'. The menu downstairs is a limited version of what you get in the restaurant above, but they have the main suspects so it's not restrictive really. Food arrived fairly quickly bearing in mind how busy the place was, as did the pints. Good steak again. The staff coped well under the circumstances and I dont think I had to move all night...

Good food, sometimes difficult to get a table as there's no booking (not last time I was there). The manager is very proactive moving people around to accommodate all. Good wine menu, it is much cheaper to buy the bottle than a glass at a time, so you might as well get stuck in! Artwork on the walls is for sale, some of it good. Like the open fire and the sofa seats at the front of the bar.

Situated under FXB's - if you aren't in the mood for a proper restaurant meal this is the next best thing. The Pub has a good buzz going most evenings and is one of the few places you can head to watch the Magners League on TV and grab a decent steak - all while in a Pub. With the Kitchen from FXB's upstairs serving you equally well downstairs - it is a very comfortable place to chill out and catch up with friends over a few pints and some good food.

This is a great place for steaks - they're very good quality and come from FXBs own farm in Offaly; so are proper farm-to-table meats. They have all the normal cuts of beef along with the usual (steak) sauces as well as some great fresh fish to choose from. I went for the 10oz aged sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection and was well accompanied by a side of chips and some cream spinach, which went down well too. Would definitely go back.
