Established in 1954 by Frank Gleeson, Gleesons of Booterstown is a family run pub. Gleesons is extremely popular with locals and is well known for it's food. It is also a favourite amongst sports fans as a good place to watch a match as it has many big screens and the lounge staff help minimise movement!

This is a good local. It's a good gathering point for matches - they have a number of screens scattered about the place so the viewing capacity is quite good. They serve food until pretty late - we got served just after ten and they were more than happy to do so (food is good). The bar staff are always notable in Gleesons for their attentiveness and good service. It's a place that you can go to and not expect to have to move until you need to leave - proper order on a Sunday. Or any other day...
A real local's local - comfortable lounge, great Guinness, attentive lounge staff (so you only need to get up from your seat to go to the toilet!), good wholesome bar food, large well-positioned TVs (for matches), safe overnight parking - Gleesons is probably the only pub in Dublin that Carlsberg did do! And is probably one of the best pubs in Dublin to watch a match in but be prepared for the fact you won't be the only one with that idea - four stars from me!
