Reviews for Good World Restaurant
Write a Review Good World Restaurant reviews feedI dropped into this place kind of randomly just because I was hungry and wanted to try somewhere new, but it all turned out rather well! It’s got a great central location, and when I went in they had a really good value Early Bird menu going too.
The food itself is a cut above what you’d get in most Chinese restaurants, with plenty of dishes I’d never heard of (always a bonus). It was pretty quiet while I was there, but the other two families which were in there were both Asian, which is normally a good sign of authentic cuisine! The food wasn’t mind-blowingly amazing or anything, but it’s definitely worth checking out.
Informal chinese restaurant. I noticed a lot of chinese people eat there, which is always a good sign, so my expectations were perhaps a bit too high for the set lunch menu. I ordered vegetable spring rolls for a starter, which turned out to contain only bean sprouts and did not come with any sort of sauce- a bit disappointing. My husband was very happy with his spare ribs though, plenty of meat on them. My main course of king prawns and green peppers in black bean sauce was good, but contained loads of little bits of chili (of which there was no mention in the menu) that I had to pick out as I'm not too big on spicy. Once again, the husband was happy with his meal, the cantonese duck, which was crispy and tasty. We shared a yummy banana fritter and ice cream for dessert. All in all only okay food, and the service was inconsistent, our server seemed to forget about us a few times during the visit. But at 13 euros for 3 courses, maybe that's to be expected.
