There's plenty of competition in the gourmet burger space but good to see Jo'Burger is still serving-up decent burgers in funky surroundings!

This place is responsible for the best burger I have eaten since moving here from the States.

I was instructed by many locals I met to try Jo'Burger, and I don't know why I waited as long as I did. The food is incredible and the portions extremely generous! You won't find many basic burgers here; with options including lamb and handmade vegetarian (and vegan!) patties topped with things like apples or almond pesto, ordering a simple hamburger just seems wrong. I tried the Moroka, which comes smothered in bacon and brie. I know. It was just as delectable as it sounds.

The ambiance is great as well! Dim lighting, walls covered in quirky art, and long tables with bench-style seating create a cool and unique atmosphere. Two things that particularly tickle my fancy are the board games they offer as pre-meal entertainment and the fact that they display their menus within old school comic books. Lastly, I am a typography geek who loves the typeface they use for their menus and receipts. Five stars, Jo'Burger. Five stars.

Try it. If you like it you'll be back. They have adjusted their attitude lately, possibly a reaction to the economic climate. They will turn down the volume if asked and the bedside manner is much improved. Kids, formerly barely tolerated, are now indulged. Best hamburgers this side of the Mason-Dixon line. They are happy to cater to individual dietary idiosyncracies. Ask for double crispy bacon and blue cheese.

Top notch - cool vibe and tasty burgers. Sweet potato fries are definitely recommended. Can be quite noisy, so not a great date location.

Great burgers, atmosphere is a little wierd, music slightly to loud, especially when its not a bar, usually avoid this place when catching up with a friend who I actually want to listen to, TURN IT DOWN! Also, this is my big gripe, seating is a joke, male waiters pushing there asses in your face when serving food is off putting, especially waiters dressed like want to be 17 yr olds, cover up, greet customers politely and serve me those great burgers ladies.

The burgers are absolutely delicious and many variations are offered. I haven't had a better tasting burger in Dublin as yet. The ambiance is also very different to the typical Dublin restaurant and has a very Williamsburg, Brooklyn feel to it with the long tables, dim lighting, and seating that has you brushing shoulders with your neighbour. All of which I like.
I think it definitely deserves five stars.

The burgers here are really nice, they make there own bread I think so the whole thing is very nice. It's hard to find though you would easily pass it.
The burgers are great, wasnt mad on the sweet potato fries though.

Would give it full marks but negaitives are:
1. that you are squashed into your seat wagamama style but much more crammy.
2. On the day I was there one of the waiters really bugged me, was not very polite barely spoke to you. When I was paying just pushed the bill in my face. No customer service like.... "how was your food?" or "was everything ok?" nothing he just played the air keyboard on the table as he pushed the visa card machine in front of me. so that wasnt cool but he thought he was too cool for school, what a ****er.

Apart from that bloke with his shiny white belt, the other waitress was very nice.

Think back to sixth year maths. Did you do combinations/permutations? Well in order to figure out exactly how many possible burgers you could order here you will need a good head for the old figures.

Mind you, on the subject of figures... you shouldn't be watching yoursif you go here because the burgers are generously proportioned and when I was there the sweet potato fries were to die for.

Why not 5 stars.... I'm feeling stingy.
