The Joly Café is located on the ground floor off the front hall in the main Library. Snack foods, light lunches as well as teas and coffees are available throughout the day. There is seating for 46 in a comfortable, bright room which in an earlier era was also a café.

Working in town, I am spoilt for choice with lunch venues. This is the place I go when I need a break from it all. The feeding frenzy of the cafes closer to grafton street doesn't reach quite this far as lyric fm plays on the retro-look stereo in the corner. I always get cup and crust (half soup, half sandwich) and read my book in peace. Bliss.
