Felt compelled to write a review as I've been a once or twice a year customer of this take away since it opened and the chain for almost 25 years. Ordered a meal and it took Twice as long as it should to be delivered. The curry chips not only cold but literally tasted Dirty cos of the oil. Felt queasy but persevered. Onion rings Diabolical. Mostly batter. Mineral - Not what I ordered. Phoned and asked to speak to the manager to be told "he's not here", insisted and some time later told the "woman" manager the order number and she refused to give even her first name after saying my name in full. Commented on the food and suggested a bonus for the driver as he looked ASHAMED to have to work for them and she wouldn't entertain the idea. Told her if she didn't I'd post a review. She hurried me off the phone. Phoned a few days later saying to the supervisor "Did you have a good meeting?" and he said the Area Manager was looking for me, I agreed that he phone again. He denied they use coley for cod in their O'Connell Street branch, use reheats, at least used to use fake Heinz in their bottles. A "mistake" and when reminded Burdocks's burgers have also been described as Rotten he made no comment. He also had the cheek to say he took complaints "quite" seriously and said something about all takeaways having positive and negative response, he also said he found my comments above "disheartening" and "disturbing". This I took as some kind of veiled threat so it's a case of WATCH THEM GO DOWN.

I like the fact they cook everything fresh, It's perfect for my monthly fish and chip craving, it's a tad pricey tho, but it's worth it..
