I signed up to take one of their classes as I had been made redundant and a colleague in a similar situation had completed this course and it had allowed her to find an exciting new position.

From arriving on day one things seemed to be quite disorganised, enrolling was not as smooth as I had expected. The course totally lacked structure, some notes were provided by the college at midnight the night before we needed them while some modules were missing altogether.

We had a lecturer that by his own admission was not teaching his chosen topic. He was extremely unprofessional and lacked any skills to teach the course "Train the Trainer", basically reading from notes and offering opposing responses to questions asked. On our coffee breaks I spoke with around a third of the class and to be honest we were all wondering what to do, most of my classmates were working in HR & Training and simply wanted the qualification while stating that they in fact knew more than the lecturer, whereas I had paid to be taught a new skill.

After the first weekend of a 2 weekend course I contacted the college to raise my concerns and received a very slow response, they responded to my first 2 mails offering me credit to complete the next sitting of the course and as I pressed for a refund they simply chose not to respond any more. I contacted the merchant through which I purchased the voucher and after several weeks they contacted me to say they would refund me my money as Liffey College were no longer responding to their mails either. I notice that they no longer offer vouchers for this college.

Like i said my colleague had a good experience but when mine turned sour they simply didn't want to know, my advice is avoid.
