Although I have had good experiences with Lunatic Fringe in the past on Friday I was given the worst haircut of my life by a senior stylist, Edwardo. Origionally I wanted a cut and ombre colour but it was explained to me that as my previous color was red it might be hard to lift the colour much. I outlined the cut I wanted which was to keep the length but add layers as my hair was sitting like a tee-pee when curly but very lank when straightened. I explained that I style my hair evenly between curly and straight depending on time so the cut would have to suite both styles.

The end result was awful. My hair which is naturally very fine has been thinned to the point where I will be unable to wear it straight for quite some time. The layers are uneven and are completely different on both sides of my head, some of them are so short around my face that when my hair is curly it looks like I have a bad fringe. Furthermore given how thin my hair is it now looks as though I have a mullet. The ends of my hair were not trimmed (yes, I wanted to keep length but I assumed the dead and scraggly hair at the ends would be trimmed as part of a 80E cut).

To add insult to injury Edwardo who was cutting my hair was curt to the point of rudeness, didn't introduce himself to me or engage with me in any way really. He was also cutting the hair of five other people while I was sitting in the chair waiting for the dye to work.

I rang to complain and was told a manager would call me back, I then sent in a written complaint via email and still have not received a response. Its left a really bad taste in my mouth and much worse than that I have to wait months for my hair to grow out and return to normal. Be warned!
