M O'Briens Bar is well-known throughout Ireland and the British Isles as a favourite meetingplace before, during and after rugby and football matches. Although recently renovated, O'Briens still retains its famous bar which has remained untouched for nearly 100 years now, making it one of the oldest in Dublin - there is strictly no music & television in this part of the pub - just good craic!

Cosy and Clean, a traditional pub without frills. They get the important bits right - good Guinness, comfortable seating and a quiet reserve of bacon fries and crisps.

The last proper local before you hit the chaos of town, the Guinness is good and a favourite of mine for a midweek pint. On Friday nights the work crowd pile in so some of the local flavour is lost but who goes for a quiet pint on a Friday anyway?!
