The Markievicz Leisure Centre has many modern fitness facilities including: Swimming Pool, Sauna, Weights (incl. Free Weights), Treadmills, Rowing Machines, Exercise Bikes, Steppers and other cardiovascular equipment. It also holds classes in circuit training and step aerobics. The centre was awarded the ILAM White Flag Award, the only comprehensive quality award for leisure facilities in Ireland.

Redeemed my ratemyarea half price 1 month membership voucher yesterday and am booked in for my fitness assessment next week. I went to a spin class last night which was a great workout, followed by a swim in the pool. The place is nice and such a central location from where I work. It has all the amenities I would expect from a gym and helpful staff. Early days yet, but I will probably be extending my membership at the end of the month!
