You can't go wrong with Marks and Sparks. The clothes are pretty middle-of-the-road, but if you look hard enough you can find some great value in there, and I've bought my fair share of Christmas presents in here when the season comes around, but I normally find myself coming in here either for the cookies or to take a short cut and get out of the rain when I'm heading into the Jervis Centre. The food section isn't anywhere near as good as the one on Grafton Street, so if you're looking for a proper shop you're better heading downstairs to the Tesco or out to the nearby Aldi or Lidl on/off Parnell Street. Having said that, M&S do have a pretty good selection of food and quite a nice bakery section so chances are good you'll be able to find something nice. They also have a nice section chock-full of wine and flowers, just in case you're popping in on your way to meet someone lovely
