In the years I have attended, i cannot rate the professional ophthalmic staff at medical optics high enough.
The downfall in this establishment is their reception staff and dispensing opticians. They are unhelpful, condescending, lack patience , with a shocking lack of knowledge of customer service.
Myself and my partner have been attending medical optics for the last few years, spending a small fortune on tests, glasses and contact lenses, but recently decided to finally leave the practice due the reception and dispensing staff. It saddens me we both found the ophthalmic staff to be amazing. We experienced many incidents over the last few years with reception and dispensing staff, but, the most recent, when I went in with a broken leg on a frame, giving me a leg that was a completely different garish colour to the rest of the glasses, stating I would have to get a new pair of frames. When I politely said that I would not be able to afford a new frame in the short term, I got the response 'oh we all have our sob stories these days'!! in front of other customers and staff. I went to another optician, who, within a few hours, repaired my frame.

While the opticians I've seen have been incredibly nice and helpful, and the place is fresh and modern, I must admit that I've been underwhelmed by the receptionists, and very disappointed with the pricing of glasses. To my dismay I found out that the frames that were sold to me were marked up by up to over €100 (yes, you read it right) compared to several other opticians (prices including lenses). I know now to shop around next time, and would recommend others to do so too.
