After leaving university in search of adventure, Peter Boizot travelled – and ate! – his way around Europe on a shoestring budget. Inspired by the mouthwatering simplicity of the classic pizza he encountered on the road, Peter set out to reinvent the Italian pizzeria. Forming part of the Pizza Express group founded by Peter Boizot, this restaurant was the first Milano to open in Ireland.

yeahhhh, no.

went here cos i had a hi-life (2 for 1) card and even then it wasnt worth my money.

i got the 4 seasons pizza (pepperoni, capers, olives, mushrooms and cheese) and it was blahhh. it was very small (much smaller than the ones surrounding us..not sure if the 2 for 1 cheapos like myself get smaller portions than those paying feel price but thats what it looked like...even the guy at the table next to us said ' how come mine is huge and hers isnt?'..never met the guy in my life)

since when do whole olives come on a pizza? slice those bad boys up.

my friend got the veggie and goat cheese salad (Chargrilled Italian vegetable salad of warm aubergine, red & yellow peppers, santos tomatoes and marinated artichoke with soft goats cheese, roasted tomatoes, cucumber, Italian lentils, mint and basil. Finished with warm dough sticks) this was a bad mix. they should have left out the cucumbers, lentils and tomatoes as the rest of the veggies were warm. the dough sticks were good though but i dont think the size of this salad is worth 13.50

we shared a dessert ; cheesecake which came with a scoop of ice cream. this was actually the best part of the meal as it was real NY style baked cheesecake which is hard to find in europe

the service was ok - the waiter was nice but didnt actually check on us. and whats with the uniforms? i dont like jeans for waiters to begin with but if so, make sure they're not dingy and tattered,,,and aside from that they had on these navy t shirts with MILANO in neon cursive. poor guys.

the place was busy but seemed cramped and even the manager was walking around with handfuls of dirty glasses - use a tray cos otherwise you may be working in a pub.

I left still hungry and i wouldnt go back.

serves me right for AGAIN trying 'italian' food anywhere but in italy.

It's been awhile since I've eaten here. No let off in the qiuality - if anything, it's even better than before. There's a choice of base now if you're going for a pizza. I'd recommend the Romano base which is almost paper-thin and gives you a more authentic taste and texture...

Service as ever was good - friendly and efficient. Things must be picking up in social land - I couldn't get any street parking at 7:30 on a Friday night...weird....
