After leaving university in search of adventure, Peter Boizot travelled – and ate! – his way around Europe on a shoestring budget. Inspired by the mouthwatering simplicity of the classic pizza he encountered on the road, Peter set out to reinvent the Italian pizzeria. Forming part of the Pizza Express group founded by Peter Boizot, this restaurant was the first Milano to open in Ireland.

I still miss cafe bar deli which used to occupy this space so was reluctant to try Milanos. However, went there for lunch one day and was delighted especially with the 500 calorie pizza - delicious.

Ate here last Friday with a group of 10. We had a voucher which gave 3 courses for 19.95 and was good for our whole group which was fantastic value. I had the dough balls to start (nice enough), a Pollo Ad Astra Romano Pizza which was delicious for my main. The Romano style pizza is a thinner base and is delicious. I had the chocolate glory for desert which is your standard sundae.

Place feels a lot more open than Café Bar Deli was, the service was great and we really enjoyed our night. Only downside was they haven't sorted out their beer license yet and our group would normally all have gone for beers! They have a wine license so we weren't left dry for the night!
