I ate here not long before it was awarded it's star. The food was absolutely wonderful and the sommelier did a fantasticl job in finding a wine to suit both of us.

At the end of the meal I decided to have the cheesboard with some port. The sommelier said he would recommend the port after I'd selected the cheese. Well we had to laugh when he plonked 3 glasses in front of me and poured 3 different ports - one for the hard cheese, one for the soft cheese and one for the blue cheese. I'm not really a big port fan ...luckily my SO is.

Needless to say the old credit card took a big hit but we did enjoy the experience.

A huge downside to this restaurant is the layout. They have a multi purpose trolley for port and cheese amongst other things. And because the service aisle is so narrow there is an incredible amount of shunting going on. It is very distracting and there has to be some solution to this ridiculous table layout.
