Go in and try their 'momo's', a Nepalese delicacy. Don't forget to order them beforehand, since the chef needs time to prepare them. In Monty's you can get a Dal Bhat, traditional Nepali staple food consisting of cooked or steamed rice, combined with meat and vegetables. The tase of coriander comes back in almost every dish. The music in here is Zen and the Asian artwork is cool.

Stephen O is absolutely right. Lovely food, pleasant and helpful staff but the premises is a bit 'off'. The cellar smells damp too so I would always ask for a table on the ground floor.

A great place for a small group of four or six.

The food here is excellent. Pricey but excellent. So why the 3 stars? The physical restaurant itself is a bit crap. If you get a nice seat near the front you're grand but last time I went there we were stuck at the back next to the door to the kitchen, wedged up next to another couple and it was all brightly lit and felt like we might have been in a chipper in Mountrath. This was even after we booked a few days in advance so not a very nice experience and put me right off. If I go back I'll get it to go.

Tasty but uncomfortable.
