The food here is absolutely delicious. It is quite the little hidden gem on the canal.
I was here last night to celebrate a special occasion and Nonna Valentina didn't disappoint - it was even better than I had remembered.
Food, prosseco and house wine were all excellent. I went with the three course set menu (for €30) which was extensive and really good value - as the starter I went for (prosciutto and melon) was €15 on the à la carte menu!
The staff are all Italian and this is reflected in the coffee - really good espresso.
The only gripe I'd have is more with the area than the place itself - the on street parking is 24 hours pay & display and I'm not sure there's really a need for it... I can understand the need for 24 hour pay & display in a busy place like Ranelagh but not here - the person driving had to get up during his meal to go out and feed the meter when he should have been feeding himself.
Parking rant aside... this place is awesome and I'm definitely not going to leave it as long before my next visit.
Been a few times. Always excellent. Real Italians. Will go again.
Gorgeous restaurant a little off the beaten track. Food has been excellent everytime I've been and friendly Italian staff give the place a nice atmosphere.
