I go to Aoife every 6 weeks and find her excellent, I have short hair and get bored very easily and she always finds a new style for me. She listens to what I want. I find hairdressers I have been to in the past just do their own thing. As I have to get my hair cut so often I have a lot of experience with hairdressers and have spent a fortune over the years but Norman and Brown are the best I have been to so far and they are great value for money! Would definitely recommend them.

I have had my hair done by erick many times and am always delighted with my hair and the compliments I receive afterwards :-)

I have just come across these reveiws as i had lost the number for norman and brown and i am in shock !!!!! I have being a client of ian norman the owner of the company for 10 years and have being to each of his salons and find them really impressive . Anybody whom i have recommended have had nothing but great things to say and the hairdressing standard is extremely high infact i think the best in dublin . I am sure if Ian himself knew of any complaints he would want to address them personally . As for the reveiw about the lady in the class i think is hugely unfair everybody has to learn and these reveiws are for the salon not for a class were you model for a blowdry . I would highly recommend this company to anybody . And hope anyone else who goes has as pleasurable experience i have each time i go .

I wish there were a way to leave negative stars, because this hair salon doesn't even deserve the one. Walking down the street in Ranelagh, my friend and I were asked to "hair model" for them, told we could get a basic wash and trim. Instead, the "student" washed my hair, then told me she wouldn't be able to cut it, but instead would give me a blow out. What I received could not even loosely be classified as a blow out, which she had clearly never attempted in her life. My hair was pulled, overly heated, and generally just damaged for over an hour and a half. Her "teacher," instead of showing her how to do it, simply let her fumble around with my hair while she took clients on the other end of the salon. Each time she checked up, she would simply tell her she was doing it wrong, then leave me again. After an hour and a half, and much unnecessary damage, I told the teacher I had things to do that day other than have my hair ripped out and damaged, and that I would rather just put it in a ponytail and leave. She proceeded to lecture me on the fact that this was a class, and I should be grateful for my free blowout. She then rudely dismissed me and left the poor student to handle it on her own. The lack of professionalism and severe lack of skills make this place hands down the worst hair salon I have ever experienced in my life.

Visited the salon earlier this week. Sorry to say that I found the service appalling. I was left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time and then they clearly didn't listen to what I had asked for. I wanted highlights and a trim but left with much too short hair and yellow/white, un-toned highlights. The staff were abrupt and inattentive and I found the experience thoroughly unenjoyable.
