I play music in there 4 times a week and it's my favorite pub in Dublin.

I admit, at night the pints are not the best in Dublin and if you order a pint of lager you can't always be sure what you get. The place can get packed with suits (on Fridays), tourists, normal punters and pre-night club crowd on the weekends. The jacks are so bad because they are too small. But the whole building is a protected structure and they can't alter anything in there.

But it's always good craic in there and somebody is usually singing or playing tunes in the back or front. Sean Cannon and Eamonn Campbell come in every now and then. One night Bruce Springsteen's band came in to join us after a gig!

No other place in Dublin allows you to sit down any time of the day to play a tune and gives ALL musicians a massive discount on the drinks. On Tuesday after the music we even get a big plate of toasties to shut us up ;o)

I love it there, especially during the week.

Surprised about the previous comment! I loved it here, good Guinness and Irish music which is so difficult to find nowadays! I loved this place. And it is great to see the Dubliners memorobilia up remembering one fo the greatest things to come out of Ireland! Not for some people I suppose but in my opinion it's definitley worth a visit!
