I was searching the number of the surgery to make an appointment with Hazel and I felt that it would be wrong of me to pass by and not write a review about what a gem Hazel is.

My family and I joined Orwell over a year ago as private patients and we have nothing but praise for the first class service we receive from Hazel and her team. Hazel is unlike any other GP we have dealt with in the past, she is thorough, knowledgeable, experienced, kind and extremely personable.

Previously, I had found GP's to be rude and inpatient, however Hazel has time for everyone who steps into her surgery and makes them feel at ease. The booking process is quick and a plan of action is always put in place. You aren't just another number at Orwell, I have great confidence that my family and I are getting the best of care.

My children love going to Hazel, she is so good with kids and the lollipops are a nice touch!

Templeogue is very lucky to have Hazel, a one of a kind doctor.

I too am writing a review in response to the bad review given on the site.

I would personally much rather an overly careful doctor who sent me to the hospital for tests that come back clean than one who could possibly miss a diagnosis by not getting the appropriate tests.

Some more serious ailments present themselves like simple ones, and I'm sure everybody has heard horror stories of doctors dismissing problems with simple medications..problems that later turned out to be a lot more serious than realised.

I found the whole experience in this surgery fantastic. After mis-reading the sign and showing up without an appointment thinking the clinic was a walk-in, I was asked to wait and the doctor made time to see me in between 2 other appointments, which I thought was fantastic as I really needed to see a doctor that day. I found Hazel to be warm, friendly and helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions about medications etc when I visit the doctor (better safe than sorry), and I found her to be very patient with me, rather than feeling like I was wasting time and being rushed out the door (which I have felt in doctors surgeries before).
