Love this restaurant - great atmosphere and fabulous food, hard to beat!
Recently had a lunch here. The fitted us in last minute and were very accommodating. Great buzz in the place, and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere was more than matched by the food. We shared delicious cod cakes to start, followed by steak and wild boar main courses, both of which were absolutely fantastic. Raspberry creme brulee and apple crumble for desert were also both very tasty. Would heartily recommend a visit.
I had a lovely lunch here. They have a really nice Brie Filo starter and I had a cod fish special for main course.
The place is very relaxed and there was a good variety of people in there, not just all suits.
The only thing that I have against it is that it is a little expensive.
Oh Yes Liz is absolutely right. It's a great place for people watching. Be sure to get a good table to engage in this sport!
But the food is absolutely fantastic too. Definitely worth a trip.
Nerd note: People is an anagram of Peploe.
Peploe's is a great restaurant for a special occasion, with really good service and a vibrant atmosphere. The food is nearly always perfect, but I find that the most interesting part of a trip to Peploe's is the rest of the clientele.
