Originally Victorian Tea Rooms, the building dates back to the late 1800's and is situated beside Dublin Zoo. Today the Tea Rooms serve freshly baked scones, homemade soup and bread, paninis, wraps, homemade desserts and cakes, as well as tea and coffee.

I was cycling around the park at the weekend and stopped off here for an ice cream and coke - there's something quaint and inviting about this place. There's not a huge amount of places to stop off for a snack in the Phoenix Park so coming across this place was a bit of a Hansel and Gretel moment! A larger selection of ice cream and this place would have got 5 stars - show me the Cornettos!!
This is a great spot to stop off for a cup of tea or a bite to eat when wandering around the Phoenix Park. I tend to head over to the Phoenix Park when the weather is good (those rare occasions!) so I usually end up sitting on the picnic benches outside the tea rooms (the inside looks slightly cramped and might not be as pleasant!). I've only ever tried the tea and danishes but the sandwiches look really good too.
