VISIT 1 : my friend had the bread pudding and i had the cheesecake which was actually kind of bland and dry :( my chai latte was good but not hot enough - in the sense that i could have downed the whole thing in 1 minute which isnt a good sign. but all in all we liked it

VISIT 2: i had the blt with a cup of soup. it was actually really ncie and filling - i couldnt finish it and that doesnt happen often! i asked for crispy bacon and thats what i got - unlike in some other places *cough* bewley's *cough*

at one point my friend called the waitress over and she came to the table with a bottle of window cleaner and soaked blue roll which i just thought was bad manners but im just picky with things like that

my friend just wanted a sweet so ordered the carrot cake. the waitress came back telling us she was out of cheecakse...and every other dessert! she didnt even have muffins, just an almond scone or fruit salad. might i add this was 130 pm so we had no idea where all the food went. we decided to go elsewhere for dessert.

VISIT 3: we went in yesterday for lunch. the host sat us down at a dirty table. and by 'sat us down' i mean threw two menus on a table and walked away. the table was visibly dirty, with crumbs and some spilled sauce on it. we sat for 5 mins before calling over a waitress to wipe it for us. 'yeah no problem' she said, seemingly annoyed.

my friend had the tuna burger. i had the blt again, with "crispy bacon." my friends burger was not cooked. even the two ladies at the table next to us said 'wow thats raw'. my bacon was chewy.

we called the waitress over and she told us thats how they cook the fish. i told her not unless we're at a sushi bar. when i told her about my bacon she said " if it's cooked anymore than that, it'll be burnt" i told her it was perfect the other which she replied they have a problem with their grill...whatever the hell that means.

the chef looked less than impressed which, note to restaurantuers - dont have an open kitchen if your staff cant contain their facial expressions during service. which brings me to my next point, the waitress then went and told the host about the situation not realizing maybe that we have eyes and ears or at least not caring.

he was a diva from across the room and my friend and i debated leaving.

the burger came back, we ate in 5 mins and left to enjoy coffee & dessert elsewhere.

when paying, the manager (who ended up being the annoyed girl asked to clean our table) says to us " what do you want me to do?"...we didnt ask for anything but the bill and she should have her own formula of what to do in cases like this.

wont go back.

This is a very nice place for lunch. The staff are great, they are very friendly. The only thing is that the menu is a bit short on the salad side of things, especially considering that this place is owned by the guys who own CafeBarDeli.

Still I will be back.
