Reviews for Roly Saul The Restaurant
Write a Review Roly Saul The Restaurant reviews feedJust got back from this place absolutely 'Fuming' Christmas party for 22 people
Service was the worst I have ever experienced waiting 1.5 hrs for starter then another 1 hr for main course. On the positives ( hence 1 star ) Chowder starter was nice. But main course arrived 10 minutes after other 21 people were served and was so bad that steak knife could not cut it pure Grissle ( and photograph to prove it. )
Times are hard and don't want anyone to be put out of business but based on my experience of this place will never, ever go back there again.
Upto you but I would avoid 'like the plague' I left my friends and colleagues there AVOID AVOID AVOID

Average starters, appalling mains. Management dealt with complaint in the most ham fisted and unprofessional manner. I have never experienced such poor customer service and I would not recommend wasting your time here. I was under the impression that Roly's Dundrum was the same management as Roly's Ballsbridge which I frequently dine in and enjoy- sadly they are worlds apart.
Food just was not good enough. Would never go back myself and I know a few people who have ate there and have said the same thing. Definitley should be avoided.
Decor was nice, serving staff were professional, discreet, but maybe just a tad uppity. Not enamored by being asked to wait for 10 minutes for a table that was reserved.
Food was tasty, but black marks for bringing a well done steak, when a medium-rare steak was ordered.
Had dinner in Roly Sauls's restaurant in Dundrum last Saturday night. The menu was not particularily adventurous but it had plenty of choice.
Food was very tasty, portions were generous and the service was very efficient and pleasant. Will be going back soon!!
We were at Roly Saul's in Dundrum last Wednesday evening and found it fantastic. Staff were great and our table of 6 all had a starter and main course which was consistently excellent for each diner.
The non-alcohol cocktails were only fab, but still fell victim to a Bellini!
Atmosphere and lighting in the main part of the restaurant were perfect on this stormy night, but would not have liked to be sitting in the glass conservatory as the weather was shocking.
True, the restaurant is priced at the higher end of the scale, but was worth it on this occasion and felt it just considering the service and quality of the meal.
Our only issue was one waiter who forgot to place the plate in front of us and instead, handed it across the table - faux pas du jour!
Not wanting to compare the two, but I've never been a fan of the well-established Roly's Ballsbridge; impatient and unfriendly staff and tatty interiors (really needs an overhaul guys!) need to be looked at.
We ate there in January and I found the menu to be overpriced and rather boring. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the building was lovely but the food was dull and bland and definitely not worth the cost.
Spend the same money in One Pico, Venu, Roly's and you won't be disappointed.
Went there last night and will never go back. The staff are stuck-up and rude and the food is over priced. I paid €33 for the worst steak I've ever had. This guy Roly Saul is still trying to live off the good name of John O'Sullivan and his great Roly's Restaurant in Ballsbridge.
I can tell you, this Dundrum Restaurant is like his restaurant in Dun Laoghaire just another dump!
There are lots of great places to eat in Dundrum TC without wasting your hard earned cash in this kip.
