My friends had said it was a great place to go. I they said the menu is fab and friday & sat night were a buzz . Nice crowd.
So I popped in for luncH to check it out, I had red pepper soup and a goats cheese salad.... I WAS IN SHOCK... It's by far the nicest soup AND salad I've ever had.... would love to know how to cook it myself.
Anyway service was quick and friendly, Its totaly organic, the place was beautiful (even the toilets) the food was out of this world but the only thing ordanary were the prices. Think I've found my latest haunt... cant wait to cheak out this place next weekend ... 10 out of 10. A must try !

I went into Ruairi Maguires today out of curiosity, if nothing else. What a wonderful place to have lunch, on a freezing winters day!
I had just intended to have a soup and a coffee, but they were so damn good that I figured I'd spoil myself and have a spot of lunch as well.
The organic burger and chips were tasty and filling. Now, I know they call it a burger, but I really think they're doing it a disservice. This is no ordinary burger, it's more of a culinary creation, in a rustic sort of way. It comes wedged between two toasted slices of their own bread, with cheese and the nicest tomato relish I've ever tasted.
I left pleasantly full. Well worth the visit, and worth every cent.

Did you know that it took 5minutes to get out-of-control-tipsy on Organic Red Wine?!! Me neither!

Well, David and I nipped in on Tuesday to have a quick glass of wine in the new Ruairi Maguire’s just down by the Pembroke District with street access from Ballinteer Road. We sat at the bar and noticed that the place is kitted out with all the finest bistro-gastro-bar-pub trimmings. Very impressive bar stools (hic!), lovely finishing on the dark wooden bar (hic!) and immaculate flooring (hic!). We were able to see all this as it was so empty, but it was still early afternoon during a national strike, so wasn't the most average day. Lunch was being served as a small but perfectly adequate menu.

It really is a stunning room and the height of the ceiling really adds to the impressiveness of the bar.

Its hard not to think of the local competition between this and Winters, but Winters is definitely more pokier and has never been a place of choice with me. I will definitely go again and can't wait to see it in full swing during the festive season.

Of course, the Organic element does add that extra dimension to the overall "offer" of Ruairi Maguire’s so if anything, you do feel a little bit healthier despite the usual intake of drink and food.

I've only given it three stars as we have not yet dined there in the evening, but will review when experienced the bar when it's brimming! Slainte!
