Rustic Stone food is served on hot volcanic stones, so that the customer finishes cooking their own dishes (a method normally found in Spain or Korea). The menu is arranged seasonally and contains a list of salads, dressings, salsas and chutneys that you can mix and match yourself.

Interesting taste combinations.
Very helpful & friendly staff.
The atmosphere is a happy 'buzzing but laid back' type of joint.
Has the look and feel of of an upmarket burger bar typified by the menus and decor but the prices do not reflect this feel.
Definitely worth a visit and the type of place where you should be adenturous and try something different. All food was delicious.

Went here recently on a 25 euro set menu, a special offer in the Irish Times. Delicious bread and humus to get the tastebud's rolling, followed by chicken wings to start, basil pesto pasta, a meat plate served on said rustic stones, followed by sorbet and coffee. Absolutely delicious food although I never would have eaten that much ordinarily. Left feeling quite bloated but satisfied.
Service was excellent and Dylan was around working the tables nicely like any celeb owner should. His brother was running the front of house staff and was in my eyeline for the entire meal. From what I saw Dylan's famous temper doesn't stop with him in the family.
Good experience overall, popped into D'orces bar after for a quick nightcap.
I had the most magnificent meal here last night.
For starter I had Iced Cucumber Soup with Frozen Avocado for starter. I was delicious, and the presentation was amazing.
Main was Sirloin of Beef with Three Peppercorn Relish. It comes out on a heated stone so that it cooks on it's way from the kitchen to the table. Now if you want it rare you need to get it off the stone quick, mine was perfect but about 5 seconds from being overdone.
As a side I had Pesto Chips. Yum.
Dessert was Frozen Yogurt and Sorbet. Another yum.
Okay, so the food was perfect to here. Genuinely one of the best meals that I have ever had, and then they forget about the coffee. WHY, OH WHY! So much effort till the last herdal.
Dylan McGrath, get over to Dunne & Crescenzi or 3FE and find out what coffee is meant to be like.
Had a great family night out here on Friday night. We booked in advance and had a choice of a table at 7 or at 9. We arrived at 7 to an already heaving restaurant and where the buzz was fist class. The cocktails were amazing and to be recommended. We were served by very friendly and efficient staff and the food was really excellent. I would really recommend going for something on the stone, not only were the beef and tuna delicious but the novelty factor of getting to cook the steaks yourself is not to be underestimated. A really great experience I am already looking forward to going back. Downstairs has some cosy snugs but I think on balance upstairs has a better ambiance and atmosphere.
