I have given it one star because I can't give it any less, I unfortunately got sick a few years back and had to be admitted in to this dump, I am well now but forever haunted by how your treated in places like this, the nurses where so mean they treated you so poorly, the most awful dirty looks i got from some of the staff, that will be forever etched in my memory. You would think I was being sick on purpose. Really disgusting place and very uncompassionate staff, a nurse was assigned to a patient each day, you would be very lucky if you got a moment with them as they where always to busy to talk, the horrible looks you got of the staff as if you are so weird, I really understand why Mental Health problems don't have a good prognosis of recovery, as somebody said to me those people don't usually get well. Please never admit a family member into this place, this place does not promote recovery, they talk down to you, they take all your stuff away from you without even an explanation of why they are doing this, I was extremely scared as I had never been in a place like this, the only compassionate person I remember was a visitor that came in who was visiting another patient, he was the only person who showed me a lovely act of kindness, a stranger who gave me the warmest of hugs. I have not one good thing to say about the care I received there.
