It's small, but incredibly comfortable and they normally have something good on. They also offer a great price of €5 for any film that's on before 1, and another lower-than-usual ticket price if you get in before 6 (mind you the last time I was there they weren't showing anything before 1 or 6, so it wasn't the best deal ever, but still, if you can nab a film that early it's a nice deal).
The food's nothing to write home about, but I don't know any cinema that does nice popcorn these days and the ticket prices are fair, while the seats are really, really comfortable and it's rare that you get a bad crowd in making noise during the film, so on balance it's probably better than most of the bigger cinemas in the city centre. A great one if you live in the area, and only 20 minutes walk away from the city centre if you don't, so it's probably worth the trip! It loses a star for the limited selection of movies.
A good cinema with great prices. It is a little small and has a relatively limited selection of films, but if it's showing what you want to see I'd recommend it.
This is my local cinema, and I much prefer it to the bigger and trendier one down in Dundrum! It has comfortable seats and big screens, with student discounts and a pretty good selection of films. Plus, not everything is in 3D, thank god!
Great little cinema outside of the city centre. The only thing that really stands out about it are the seats, which I found surprisingly comfy. But the screens are big, the crowds are small, and although they can only show a limited selection of films there's nearly always something decent on.
And if you want to try and sneak some sweeties in, it's in the same shopping centre as a well-stocked Dunnes Stores supermarket, so you've got all the choice in the world. Two big thumbs up!

Very handy cinema for the people in Rathmines. Comfortable seating, friendly staff and nice pop corn too. Prices are almost on par with others. Coupled with O2 treats movies on Monday to Thursday cost only €4 each. Car park cost €2. However, on street parking is free after 7 in the night and all day Sunday.
Great cinema, comfy seats, friendly staff and nice popcorn. I could be wrong but I think the prices are a bit better than other cinemas and it beats getting the luas out to Dundrum!

Love this cinema. very comfy seats and modern. good popcorn and well stocked refershment area. also offers VIP seating but not sure who qualifies for that !!!!It's fancy( private entrance) but how do you get into that club?
Car park is a mere 2 euros but i would love if it was complimentary as an added bonus. Clean , well maintained and never too packed. Thumbs up,.
A great alternative to the madness that is Movies @ Dundrum, this place deserves to do well.
I've been twice and I thought it was a great cinema. All the staff were fairly nice too which makes a change.
Very modern. The lines going to the screens are a pretty cool idea the way they go all over the walls is pretty crazy.
Pitty they don't have butter on the popcorn tho.
I went to see Avatar here. The 3D was excellent. Other than that, the cinema was okay. There was very little to sing and dance about it.
Even though it is new, it is a little grubby looking, but I think that is just part and parcel of being in the Swan Centre. The directions within the centre are not great for finding the cinema.
Otherwise, I like having a cinema back in Rathmines. I think that it is a good idea.
