I'd agree with Nick M to some extent. The music can be quite loud at times, the staff seem to be permanently distracted and the service is slow....really slooooow.
Apart from that the food is good, it's never been full when I've been in and there's parking a plenty outside. Not bad, but bring some time with you when you go.
Is it possible to give a zero star rating?
This place deserves it, well it did on my last visit last weekend in Feb. Waiter was obnoxious to say the least. Music was more like a night club, food delays were ridiculous considering the place wasn't busy considering the size of the venue. 40 mins for a portion of fries, constantly having o remind the waiter about orders which never arrived. Should have left. I'm not one to complain but this time I feel compelled to give it a roasting!
I went for lunch there on one of the few good days we had last summer. Sat out in the patio area and it was lovely, very sheltered and a complete sun trap. Food is as you would expect, burgers and chips with a token salad on the side. Good size portion (that reads nearly too big) and good service. Never went inside so I can't comment on the changes made since it was a pub. Now that it's an American styled sports bar with TV's everywhere, it has to be good for watching a match. Not cheap.
